I think RPM is more important than speed. You can go 80 under 3K rpm.

yeah thats what I thought. I almost reached 100 MPH but the needle was very close to 4K RPM.. so I slowed down..

whats the speed limiter on the car? Not the max mph but the max mph u can reach because of govenor limits.

 

156 mph. The gearing should let you get past 180 if you could get in a wind tunnel.

yeah.. the owners manual says that we can't go above 4K rpm. I just can't wait to pass 1200 miles.. i'm always tempted to punch it hard.. [8D] this car is just really fun to drive..

Some one should ask the dealership if they can program the chip in the car so that the rev limiter is droped to like 3800rpm

well u can buy chips that can do all that, you can change the rev limiter when ever you want it, take off the speed limiter, and what not. But its just a matter of finding the right chip.

 

I was told the engine is already broken in when the cars are built. In any case, I was staying under 4K like the car guide states. But going up and down the rev. levels to break the engine in evenly across the rpm range.

 

eventhough I never passed 4K RPM, But yesterday i punch my car really hard (but the RPM never exceeded 4K) is that ok?
