What's so cool about clear corner lights? and CAIs

I dont understand all the big hype over the clear corner lenses. People are going apesh*t about them on every G35 forum.

is it because its the only thing available for the car?

Also- everyone is so in a rush to buy a cold air kit or an exhaust....does anyone even know the optimal shift points are for the car yet?

If anyone has an intake/exhaust in the NYC area- lets roll to englishtown and do some runs. You'd be surprised at how a well driven stocker can walk all over a modded coupe...I'm planning on heading there on sunday.

I personally think the corners look fine the way they are. On some cars, clear corners look good, others not. Plus it kinda depends on the color of the car. As for the intake, I wouldn't even bother. I think that Infiniti tweaked the intake so much anyway that there's no need for an aftermaket intake.

Really, I think money would be better spent on buying some really nice wheels and tires. Went to the Autoshow this week in Atlanta and there was a nice wheel package on a black sedan that looked real nice.

Would clear corners look good on an Ivory Pearl G35? I figured that it will get lost in the white color and the entire bumper would look uniform and one piece... I have an aerokit bumper so this will add to the looks IMO. Any suggestions?

Thanx

You and me both. Near as I can tell, it's the unfortunate result of the car having a younger, sportier look than some of the other lux-sports coupes connected to the bizarre pricing by Nissan.

Bunch of ricers.

No, but Vin Diesel added killer mods to his import in Fast and Furious so all the cool people must do it...
