Hood Blue Sleeve Automotive tire Automotive lighting

I recently bought a 2003 G35. I've been trying to figure out what this button is for ever since. Anybody??? It's driving me nuts!

Hood position sensor .. let you know the hood is not properly closed.

Isn’t that the alarm sensor for the hood?
