That doesn't really carry any Volvo-ness at all, which may be a good thing for this market. However, I'd be suprised if they didn't want some common designs from the family look.
This looks a bit more like those weird Jeep hybrids to me.
I'd be surprised if they didn't add more common Volvo elements (like the grille design) when they go to production. I doubt I'd like it better with any of it though...
