Today I spanked a new Silverado SS, i think its 2003 model. THis thing has 345 hp and like 365 torque. Off the line he jumped ahead but after i put it in second i was ahead about 3/4 car lengths and then third i was outta there. I kinda got scared when the truck jumped ahead when i was in first. BTW, i had 2 extra people in the car so that miiiiight have made a difference..[]

The SS is quite heavy though at 6400lbs! And it's got some extra drivetrain loss due to being AWD, so it's 345 horses are quite tame compared to ours. Bet it was fun though. []

itas actually 5400 poounds...its says 6400 with the passengers and stuff...the actual weight of car is 5400 which is stilll heavy

I actually had an 99 GMC Sierra Z71 with the 5.3l and 4.10's, it ran a piggish 16.0 at the track stock - and the new SS is tested at 16.2 or something close to that.
