You have to read the owners manual to really enjoy this car. Windows up or down with the drivers key door lock. What else have you found?

The dealer told me you couldn't change CD's with the stearing wheel buttons. If you hold the buttom button on one direction for a few seconds, it changes discs. Similarly, you can hold the same button when listening to the radio to scan through stations instead of jumping through pre-sets.

The window thing is cool. I love doing it in parking lots and seeing the faces of people.

It is a shame the controls on the steering wheel are not lit.

No it's not. The whole point of them is that you feel them rather than looking down. Having people look down at the wheel is no better than lookind down at the stereo.

It is nice to have them lit a little sometimes, I know the horn buttons are not lit either. It would still be better than looking over to the center of the dash for the lit controls.

I know on my parents' Expedition, the steering wheel controls are lit and it is so annoying. Everytime you turn, you've got these moving lights. [hypno]

Yeah man last thing I would want is freakin wheel with lights moving all around in front of my face!!! So what is this window thing??? You can roll the windows down with the remote lock??? DAMN maybe I DO need to read the manual...

Hold down the unlock button for a few seconds and keep holding it as the windows roll down. It's a neat trick, but one I expect from luxury cars. It's not particular to the G.

Gardiner indicated that you can but I haven't done it. My natural impulse is to roll them up as I'm pulling into my destination. I assume you just hold the lock button.

The best was my Prelude. I had a DEI alarm in there with window modules. You could roll down or open the sun roof with the remote, then it would all close up when you armed/locked the car. Got a lot of looks when parking on the street!

I do wish the sunroof was included in this action. I rarely drive with my windows down but my sunroof closed.

You can roll the windows up or down using the remote or the key in the driver's door. Just keep the key turned or the button pressed until the windows are where you want them.

Just used this feature on my fiance's A4 last night, car was parked real close to a snow bank so I couldn't open the door (only had to get her jacket out). Rolled the windows down, reached in, got it, and rolled 'em back up. [thmsup]

gardiner, i tried to put my windows down the the remote and it works fine, but I can't put them up with the remote. I can use the key to do both, just not the remote. Have you tried to do this with the remote, or just the key?

My remote will only lower the windows, the key will raise and lower.

Here is another remote trick for you...
Press the lock and unlock at the same time for two seconds and you can turn off the horn when you lock the car. Do it again and you can make the horn honk again.

ok, I got another question. In the center console, behind the ashtray, there are three buttons. The 2 outside ones are for the seat heaters but what is the center one used for? There is just a blank plastic piece where it looks like another button should be. I got every option that I could, but the blank is still there. Is it something in the 4 door that just wasn't used in the coupe?
