YUP, I have a V1 and hands down the best radar detector on the market. Here is their website...I believe you can't buy them in stores. Only through their website and I believe they advertise heavily in Car and Driver type mags.

If by cups you mean cops, it depends on where you are. In some states, they will confiscate it and ticket you. In other states, it's perfectly legal to have a radar detector.

Damn, I just bought Escort's best. Didn't know anything about the Valentine model.
The only state I KNOW is a problem with radar detectors is Virginia. I have to believe there are more but that's the only one I've seen AND, at least on the major interstates, they post it on highway signs so you know it as you enter the state.

Never been pulled over since I bought it 2 years ago. As you can tell by my name, I'm not a speed limit driver. You should be pretty happy with it.

Here you go lead_foot. Car and Driver tested them less than a year ago...V1 winning out hands down baby! Although yours DID come in second if thats any consolation...[]
