Hello Everyone,
New to the Forum. Great job VQ.
I just took delivery of a Laser red G35SC 6MT with Aero and Premimun package last week. I am in the process of installing a Escort Passport SR1 radar detector. This is one of Escort's concealed permanent mounted units. It has front and rear laser and radar detection.
Will update installation process and unit's operation if anyone is interested?

Welcome to the board Bob. I personally have a Valentine 1 and love it! Boy has it saved my butt MANY MANY times from tickets its not even funny as I am a realtively fast driver...especially when going on trips...usual average 85-90mph outside the city...

The bra is an Infiniti/ nissan part. Part# 999N1-JP001 NOSE MASK G35 CO . It is a 2 piece nose mask. I bought it from infiniti parts usa.com http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/Default2.asp . Great service, good prices and fast shipping.
It fits very tight and was hard to put on the first time, but looks really nice and is worth the effort. The material is NOT cheap. Here is the description from Infiniti:
20 oz. leather-grain premium vinyl exterior offers extra protection against rock chips, bugs, and road debris.
• Soft felt polyester lining minimizes abrasion to exterior finish.
• Engineered to minimize flutter and wind noise at speed.
• 2-piece design allows you to open the hood without removal.

Sounds good Bob, Thank You...great help you've been. I have been looking for one...and i decided to check out strictly Z but no one seems to have one from them. Did that one bring a net for the grill. On my way to work...the amount of rocks is is crazy but bugs more so. Thanks again.[cheers]

VQ.. The passport SR1 comes with a vertical overlay for the face of the display unit. It just sticks on over the horz. one. Then you can program the unit to display vertically. Looks pretty cool. Escort has just discontinued the SR1 so there are some great deals out there. This thing retailed for over a grand last year installed, I installed mine for $350 including shipping.

VERY nice Bob...like the Passport install as well. Have you had a chance to use it fully yet? How good is it? I have a Valentine one and swear by it as it has saved me many times. My college roomy had some expensive sort of Escort and wasn't nearly as good as my V1.
