Haha ... I'll bet he wants the big snow dump more than my visiting !!
btw ..... the drifted snow I left on the porch didn't keep solicitors at bay .... They trudged through it to ring the doorbell asking if I wanted them to clear it off. I had the drive and sidewalks done though.
I guess the joke was on ME.
38 this morning around 7 am and it may get close to 50 today. I dug the coupe out last night realizing I need it today.
Sweet. I could handle a big rain or t-storms along with those temps although the humidity might make me grumpy. I guess that is what's nice about trips or vacations.... take in a different climate for a bit and move on.
It was 8 the other morning when I got home. Near zero or below, I start thinking about the water line along the foundation to the kitchen sink. I need to either let the faucet drip a teeny bit over nights like that or just go buy a heat cord to wrap the pipe and remember to use it those few times a year.
67 = Cold .... ? I've never been anywhere long enough for me to feel 67 is cold but a windy rain while stuck outside in it might do it.
I recall how nice those 67 evenings are in Las Vegas after an 87 or 91 degree day. Just being out walking along the strip is wonderful in that evening air.
We have a good chance of snow around Thanksgiving or just before and a slight chance it may be a pretty strong snow system. I guess with El Nino, they can rely on accurate moisture info, just not so well for where exactly it will end up.
I was surprised we got the 5 or 6 " of snow they said we might get " up to ".
Now I'm surprised this storm coming in at midnight is still hovering over us and dumping snow that was not even forecasted 24 hours ago.
Boulder is supposed to get up to 10" over there just NW of Denver.
A few cold nights coming.... 8 to 10 degrees, today's high of low 20's now. Wind has been ripping all night.
For places in the East or NE that are used to a white Christmas, I guess we in the West are the envy. The ski areas and mtns are getting a good amount of snow and this week, we were/are forecasted to have 3 big systems come through by this weekend. Probably not a lot for us on the eastern slope though.
I expect we'll see some snow and flurries later this morning as we head toward the gambling town. That side of the hills will get some by afternoon if not before but I don't expect much. Just the same, we are taking the AWD Mazda rather than the itty bitty rear drive coupe. We did the family meal and presents yesterday so it's just the two of us today and we decided to go out to Cripple Creek. One of the hotel/casinos has a nice sounding $20 buffet that we may get for free with a few points we earn. We've earned lodging there before under similar deals.
The town sits in a valley but I believe it's a 9500 ft elevation valley.
The second picture is of 14c getting tossed out of a bar a number of years ago.

Does anyone have any experience or advice in shipping large pictures across country (PA to FL)? The picture is 62" x 50" and is around 2" thick. Apparently, the picture's size is too big for UPS or FedEx to ship. Thanks for any advice!
