I had my G coupe tuned on a dyno after the supercharger was installed. Tuning is essential in that setup and was done with a UTech tuner at the time. That was a piggyback system that did not program the ECU.
I know people who tuned their stock motors and gained some useful power. The current trend is getting away from piggy back tuners and going to flash tuners like Up Rev's Osiris and others.
Dyno tuning is best but more expensive than ordering a pre made generic map, but a generic map is better than no tune.
