My fiance's A4 has developed the lovely habit of stalling just after startup. This happened to me the other day. The car starts up, but dies a split second later. Almost like it's starved of fuel or air. Took it to Audi and they said it was a loose wire, which I find hard to believe. She's already had one dead cylinder coil replaced too! Any advice?

Have your Audi checked for carbon build up?
While you are at it, check your water pump? If you burn a lot of oil, go to the dealer to get pistons and rings replaced at no charge. They know that they have a problem.

This is a good lesson in why we should update our posts ! That guy with the Audi could be pulling his hair out (still) for all we know. :grin2:

Now, if I could just get 14c to respond to anything within a few years, I'd consider it a gift.

I dunno .... VQ may be smarter than we think.

After 11 years, the only answer that makes sense is a birds nest in the intake.
Talk about a simple fix !!
