Mercedes knows there is no room for screwing up any more. They have screwed up with quality and they know customers know. Mercedes' CEO has admitted it even in public. So, they are super carefull and they are doing the right thing for that matter.

THe source also says that if you push for a 2004 model, dealers will budge. There are also side deals cut for extremely unhappy customers (hehehe...I can pretend being that for a couple of extra options on a 2004 car).
