Dealer is selling me their last 2003 DG/W, 6MT, Premium, Dealer Installed Aero, and Chromed Wheels for $1700 off MSRP. I'm thinking the new 2004's are increased in price by $750, so the 2003 is a total savings of $2450 over a 2004 (they didn't sound like they were going to deal on the 2004's).

Is that worth going for the 2003???? For me this is a big purchase and I'm breaking a sweat trying to decide what to do. I have to make up my mind by this Thurday.

Shouldn't it be if it was at

-$1700 of msrp (IF you got $1700 off MSRP for 2004)
+$750 for 2004 edition

$950 savings?

I don't think they're going to give you $1700 off MSRP for a 2004 model...

Your likely to save alot more I THINK with the 2003 because when you deal with 2004's they have all year to sell it

The 2003 just slowly depreciates...

I'm going to compare base prices on both years when I go back to the dealership. If there isn't a difference, then it's just a $1700 savings on a 2003 over a 2004. Depending on how fast the car depreciates in the next 3 or 4 years once the market is more saturated with G35 Coupes, that may or may not be a good deal on the 2003. But I can't see into the future, so it's a gamble.

I guess I should just stop worrying and buy the car since I like everything about the 2003 they have and all the people here seem to just love them to death. I probably can't go wrong. [thmsup]

If you still worry I would say give both car's a drive and check out the 2004 additions in particular and see if they're worth your $2450.

I went through the same dilemma about a week ago. I had a 04 DG on order and my dealer got a Black 03 on the lot.
The only advise I have is if your going to keep it until it's payed off then what difference is one year? If your only going to keep it for a couple years then wait for the 04. I went ahead and got the black 03 coupe. [] [clapper]

The price increase on a '04 model is supposed to be only $250. And if you're going to compare your "savings", then be sure to include the greater depreciation factor for buying the '03 instead of the '04, which are in most dealers lots already.
