This happened mid 2016, should leave a note in case anyone else experiences the same thing

Got oil change at the dealership, and they told me that both rear calipers needed to be replaced, as they seized. Expensive job, approx $800/caliper.
Took it to my mechanic and got him to take a closer look at it, and it is not the caliper but a "clip/slider" that malfunctioned, and needed to be fixed/replaced.
It cost me $250. The following oil change, infiniti said the rear calipers are fine.

Apparently this is a common issue on the G37.
