I was flipping through some 350z forums and i see guys there ragging on the G's Interior...calling it cheap (which i believe cuaz i was in one three times) but is really that bad after few months. Does it get scratched easily or what...?

I am expecting Semi's "don't give a shit what you think but true reply" LOL...

Well...?

I haven't noticed any scratches or the like. So far, it's all holding up well, though I've been having trouble finding a cleaning solution that doesn't leave lint all over the place. That's hardly the car's fault though.

Personally, I like it, but it's a bit less refined and elegant than say a BMW or Merc. It's certaily better than the Alteza/IS300 which made me want to hurt the sales guy. The look is plays more to the performance side than the luxury side, which was fine by me. It has a cockpit look and feel.

The seat on the other hand is the best I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

Thank You Gardiner and you Semi...the most honest G owner in town...anyway...that what i thought i like that silver trim but i was just wanted to how it stood up...those z owners talk about a "spartan" look...wtf is that. To be honest with you...i think the G blows the Z in looks...but they think the complete opposite.

Well I totally disagree with what some may think as far as interiors go. I think the G's interior is one of the nicest around given an under 40K car. I test drove and was REALLY close to getting a BMW 330 and wasn't impressed at all with it. I didn't like the interior all that much and car for car the G was a far better deal than the BMW. I have a sedan of course and not a coupe but the interiors are basically the same. As far as scratches go tell them dumb*sses to stop clawing the seats with their girly nails to see if it scratches...none on my ride...sorry whoever says the G has a cheap interior is dead wrong!

I have to agree with you there CHaz the G's interior is really nice. I like the way its gives youa new future look with the aluminum colorsand trim but still keeping it simple.

I think the nicest interiors come from Mercedes. Below that, no ONE manufacturer really sticks out in my mind, they all have hits and misses. I love a good cockpit feel, and I think the G pulls that off nicely, while adding a little more luxury then, say the Z does.

Note: I said more elegance is in the Merc and BMW, and that's largely because of the more simplified control look and the wood grain. Personally, I the interior of the BMW doesn't impress me much. There's far too much exposed plastic. in that car.

The demo car I looked at back in November used a different plastic material than my G. I remember taking a second look at the demo after placing my order and thinking about how porous the material looked, and how concerned I would be about it scratching. I don't know, maybe this is what ends up in the base model (I have Premium).

Anyway, the materials used in the production car are very nice (as far as plastic goes), and I don't have any problems with getting scratches.

A number of people have been in my G after looking at the Z. Everyone of which has commented on how much better, and more refined the interior is.

In the end though, it all comes down to personal choice.

Oh, one absolute fact though......I have NEVER been in a more comfortable driver seat (including my S500). The leather "feels" great, and it fits incredibly well for my 6'6" frame.

Headroom....now that's another issue. ;)

peace

Well now for my 2 cents. I have sat in a few 350Z's and believe me when I say that they have no room to talk. That car's interior plastics (i.e dash, console trim) are similiar in materials to the Chevy Cavalir and Geo Spectrums I have seen. Freakin hard as a rock and butt ugly ......all for what.......30K plus! [bs]
