What does everyone use to clean the interior surfaces? I'm going to try to clean it all out this weekend and was looking for some suggestions.

I was looking for the cleaning agents people used. I know there is always a lively discussion on what to use for the paint/exterior, and I figured there might be some opinions on what could be used to clean the interior. Obviously, things like Windex or the like aren't at the top of everyone's list, but there might be others that are. I'm not a big fan of Armor-All, mostly for it's tendency to attract and collect dust, so I was looking for something that would keep the interior surfaces clean without drying them out.

Poorly worded question, my apologies. I guess I was pretty tired when I wrote it.

I bought Zainos Ultimate Protection kit. The leather in a bottle works great on the leather as well as vinyl surfaces. I like it better for the dash than the Meguiars protectant, which seamed a bit greasy to me.

I had thought about using leather cleaner on the rest of the interior, thus far that was my best idea. Looks like I'm not alone.

After I wash and dry my car, I use my damp absorber to whipe the dash and console off. Then I use Lexol leather cleaner, and conditioner on the seats.

a damp absorber is a good idea...not abrasive.

I use Lexol for the leather. The same company makes the same type of product for vinyl and plastic. I can't remember what the name is, but it is very similar to Lexol.

I worked at a car wash for a couple of months when I was 16. They used clean towels for every car.

maybe at the one you worked at, but i've seen them drop towels on the ground, pick it right up with dirt and all, and continue to wipe down your car with it.

I used to use Meguiar's Extra All Purpose Cleaner. It comes in a big purple spray bottle. However I learned shortly afterwards that it leaves behind white spots that just won't come out. Looks bad on black vinyl interiors.

Trying is the first step towards failure.

Yeah.. its a hand wash. But your picture scares the crap outta me! Did the car wash atleast pay for the repair? I'm always worried because the place that I take it to puts the car on this track that pulls the car through. Then the guys stand there and wash it with a hose and those broom brushes as it rolls through. I'm always scared that the rails will scratch my rims, at which time I would raise hell!
