
They call these MPVs in Europe for Multi Purspose Vehicles. Intially, MPVs were only considered what we call here a Minivans in Europe, but now what we call a Crossover, Europeans categorize as an MPV as well.
It will be based on the next 3 series platform. The BMW MPV will go on sale in 2005 and although prices are still a long way from being discussed, it's clear the 3-Series MPV will be more upmarket than its rivals and will be very well equipped.
According to Auto Express luxuries will include leather seats, satellite-navigation and a first class audio system, while practicality won't be forgotten, either, with the inclusion of a versatile seating arrangement.
The engine range will include 2.2, 2.5 and 3-litre valvetronic power trains.
This is supposed to go against Mercedes' Vision GST. For those that do not remember here is a photo of it.
