What is the recommended break-in mileage?
I have 1200 miles on my sedan.
Also I would like to start using Mobil 1 and want to get opinions.

Welcome to the board Jimmy. Break-in period is one of those topics that depends on the individual. I think it is recommended by Infiniti for 1000-1200 miles for break-in. Some people abide by this...some don't. Mobil 1 is a great oil. A lot of people use it.

You won't believe this one. My dealer said that Syn oil is bad for the seals. He also said if I wanted to do my own oil changes, I had to get receipts to prove it, in order not to void warranty. I laughed. You shouldn't use it before roughly 5000 miles, due to proper break-in time, but after that, it's the best thing you can do. Oh yeah, if anyone was wondering about oil filters, Mobil 1 filters are the best, and yes, they are better than K&N.

I had my 7500 mile checkup yesterday. Brought them some Mobil 1 to put in my car and they didn't even question it.
