Please help .. I have been givin a G35 from my ex's roommate that dídnt want it anymore but it ran until keys were lost. So I pulled it to my home . My wife needed a car so here we begin.
I went to junk yard and found car just like this one so I removed the ignition with key and installed it . Still nothing. Then I ordered a fab programed it worked as needed but the pcm wasn't communicating with ignition. So I ordered a new/rebuilt pcm $400 thinking that's all needed to fix this pearl. Not!! Still just cranks but not even the slightest spark of hope. What else do I need to do to get this thing going. Pcm was programmed to vin and also factory part number from Infiniti them selves. Am I stupid to be thinking that I covered all areas ? Is there more things that I should dump more money on that I don't know about? Please help ! Is there something with the immobilizer or something of that sort that I'm missing? Looking forward to hearing any suggestions. My wife's gonna be pissed if she finds out she got her hopes up for nothing not counting the $ we've put in it. Thanks in advance

No i'de have to have it towed to dealership to get that done and running low on funds . I guess I'm going to have too break down and do that. I just bought a ecu for it for $400 so I'll have to save up more to do this I was just hoping that I could avoid doing so . I just don't know if it's going to be a waste if money or if it's even worth the trouble. I'm I between a rock and a hard spot cause my wife is needing a car to drive . I have 2 trucks and one is to big for her and the other is a manual . Thanks for your advice. I was hoping there's a trick out there that I haven't tried. I guess it's gotta go to the dealership as my last possible attempt.

I understand your frustration. I bought a 2003 G35 that wasn't running. Turned out to be a loose wire on the starter. Hopefully your fix will be that simple because they are great cars to drive.

You can buy a OBD2 diagnostic tool to use at home (anywhere really) for less than $50. Check them out online. I paid $30 for mine and it does everything I need it to do, plus some! Plug it into the 16 pin OBD port underneath your dash, below the steering wheel and it does the rest.
