I got my G35 6MT 3 days ago, love it. Fun to drive. Now to do something about that horrible Bose system that came with it.

I agree, it's really not that bad for a stock system. And Bose does some pretty good stuff in terms of speakers. Granted, you can do a lot better with aftermarket, but I'm not complaining

I just do not like the sound of BOSE in a car. It doesn't sound right to me. But then agan I am really used to aftermarket audio systems in my car. Just not used to the $300 + price tag to the dash kit. That parts sucks. The dash kit to replace the stock stereo I can get from Riverside Infiniti, would I need to replace anything to make it work like the OEM part?

Just got mine last week as well. It has the Bose system too. It just doesn't have the highs to make it a crisp, clean sound. Too muddy.

There's a sayingthat audio installers say. "No highs nor lows, it must be Bose."

Talking Bought 06 G35 6MT Sedan

First I must commend whoever created this site. I used this site as reference when I bought my ride.. The stock bose systems is one of the best stock systems. If your looking for ground rattling base yes you will be disappointed. Does anyone recommend a performance modification I can do that would not void the factory warranty?

Voiding the factory warranty is a broad and vauge phrase. Adding aftermarket parts won't void the warranty as a whole, but if that aftermarket part affects (or seems to affect) the warranty issue, the dealership (or Nissan) will likely deny the warranty claim.

For example, installing lowering springs won't void the warranty if your window stops working, but if you have a suspension related warranty issue, you might not have coverage.

That said, IMO, the best mods for the buck are a Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer, Z tube, K&N filter, and sway bars.
