Default To Turbo or not to Turbo?

So I am the original owner of an 2003 G35 Coupe with manual transmission, 130k miles.
I want something faster but dealerships are only offering $2k as a trade in.
There is a shop in town that specializes in G35's/G37's and 350/370's
They charge $7k for a single turbo installed and tuned, $4,800 for an engine rebuild, $1,800 for a Spec +3 flywheel, plus whatever exhaust upgrade I choose.
So we are talking at least $15k for 450 Wheel horse power.
That's halfway to a new Z or Mustang GT.

Has anyone else added a turbo and been happy?

Default

Time to get a new car. Technology has advanced. Aftermarket is just trouble after trouble. I wouldn’t get a GT. Had them a couple times as rentals, very disappointing...not nimble or fast.
