LOL fingerless for macho effect I say no to gloves, I mean they were cool in the 80's, I think, but I think driving gloves are a thing of the past. But if you must get gloves why not just wear your flight gloves? If it's good enough to fly in it's good enough to drive in.
Sorry, it looks like I dumped my link to another site that might have had some gloves. Looks like most gloves for driving/racing are going to be nomex or some other material that's not leather.

"Macho"?! LOL is right, you've obviously spent very little seat time on a motorcycle. If you're an offroad trail rider you would be out of your mind not to wear a full finger leather glove with high cuffs. One wack with even a tiny tree branch at 40mph hurts like hell! I have full padded (finger and palm) leather gloves that reach almost to my elbows for use riding my XT600.
If you spend any time on the the road, your hands can get mighty cold riding home even at 65 degrees. But who wants to wear full leather gloves on a 90 degree hot sunny days. So I have both insulated full finger and perforated open finger leather gloves for riding my Harley. None of my glove sets were purchased with style in mind, rather they are solely for comfort, function and protection.
I also wear a heavy leather jacket on the road. I was forced to lay down a bike on the street at speed once and I can tell you, my hands, elbows and back were saved from the hamburger grinder courtesy of the leather riding equipment. My unprotected leg and ass didn't fare quite as well I might add.
Driving gloves serve multiple purposes. The most important role of a good leather driving glove is to provide a solid, predictable grip on the steering wheel. Knit gloves need not apply. Other materials can provide added grip on the palm of the glove (like rubber). Fit and feel are important considerations when choosing a glove; it must be tight. A great glove should ultimately result in less strain on a driver’s hands. I would suspect Navy's flight gloves are not a single layer leather design.
LOL those gloves remind me of Jack Nicolas in 'As Good as it Gets'.
Iron you bozo. :P
Jack Nicholson was in that movie. Jack Nicklaus is a golfer...........although Nicholson has been known to deposit his iron through the windshield of other cars.

I recall Vanos asking this same question. I still don't like them. Anyway, Vanos was saying something like using them to keep the oil from your hands from ruining the leather of the steering wheel and shift knob.
I think Vanos may have bought a pair.
