Default War with Iran?

Damn, I hope that we don't. http://story.news.yahoo.com/fc?cid=3...World&cat=Iran However, Bush isn't ruling out a war with Iran. If that does happen I don't think the American public will support another war. I mean wtf, is there really a need for more bloodshed? What do ya think?

A lot of things need to happen before war would be justified & pursued (total breakdown of diplomatic solutions & demonstration of Iran producing nuclear weapons). Based on the yahoo news story everyone seems to agree so (with the exception of Israel).

I wonder if there was a total breakdown of diplomatic solutions before the Iraq war and evidence of WMD's, hmmmmmm....

There was, but the catalyst to the second invasion of Iraq was made a lot easier to justify based upon Saddam's past dealings with his neighbors and his interior peoples. War with Iran, invasion of Kuwait, suppressing religious majority in Iraq, gassing of ethnic minorities, etc....

Iran although a thorn in the side of the US since the overthrow of the pro-US govt has not given the US the type of justification that Saddam had. While they are a bit extreme and wanting to develope nuclear weapons they don't have a history of openly invading other countries. That being said, they do fund terrorists, but giving a terrorist an Iranian developed nuclear weapon for use would not be a good idea.....and I think even they know that.

All we really have to do is assassinate a few dozen hardliners and religiously fanatic leaders, create a civil war, and help pick up the pieces. The laundry's done, and we smell good.

If only it were that easy.

I believe we've already tried to do that before.

Granted that the results can be somewhat unpredictable, you just treat it like a game of slots --- throw enough money at it, eventually you'll hit the jackpot (albeit small or large).

I'm ready to grab some popcorn and let the religious zealots slaughter each other.

I say you get a looped tape with William Shatner and Leonary Nimoy singing. Drop these into the countries and get the hell out. If this doesn't cause them to turn sociopathic and kill everyone or vacate the country.......nothing will.

I don't really see the problem. The public will support anything this administration wants because they'll scare the supporters an ridicule the detractors.

Same as before. If they want a war, they'll get it. Say 9/11 a few times and you're golden.

The events of 9/11 have left a hole in our hearts and the day 9/11 will for ever be known as the day when we were hit the hardest. 9/11 will be a day forever remembered in history as 9/11.

Damnit, no war has begun yet, wtf?

Weird, it seems to work for Bush. Maybe your internets are broken?

Bill Gates must be controlling my internets access. How do I stop him so that the public will hear my cry for help?
