You will be pleased to hear I disposed of my environmentally insensitive Yukon XL today. But not before I ran one more tiny toy car off the road on the way to the dealer, hehe! Damn, I'm gonna miss that. Happy Holidays!

Well, actually it is a 6-vehicle swap. When it is finalized, I will have lost a John Deere GT275 2WD, the '02 Yukon XL and a 1996 Grand Caravan ES and gained a loaded '05 Grand Caravan Special Edition, a 1997 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (father/sons project car - goal 350hp!) and a John Deere 4010 4WD w/ a 54" mid-mount mower deck and front snow blade.

That sounds like a lot of fun. My friend had an AWD Eclipse. Said the engines on those is easy to tune. Put a few months and about 5 grand into the car and go 420 dyno proven ponies to the ground. Keep us updated on how that project goes
DSM Turbos are easy to make reliable power with - just watch the axles. I always thought the Eagle Talon TSi looked better, at least the one after the final redesign before retirement.
The new driveway is waaay too long for my current walk-behind snow thrower. The old tractor had no hydraulics so, if I wanted to add a snow-thrower attachment to the old JD, I was limited to a small, single stage snow thrower with manual raise/lower. Probably big enough for the job, but I learned long ago that it is much better on you and your tools to oversize rather than beat yourself up. Also, I am losing a 3-1/2 bay garage and small barn at our old house plus the garage at the cabin. The new house only has a 3-1/2 bay attached garage so I will have some vehicle storage problems. When the carriage house is completed next spring, I'll have added 3 oversized heated bays with floor drains and a lift, plus the shop. Still, I'll need to add a lean-to type shed roof off the back of the carriage house for the boat.
Various sizes for your needs. It looks like you don't have to worry about the neighborhood board (housing nazis) and your property should be able to support the extra footage.

GZire - nope, the snow loads here are a problem. No matter, it wouldn't pass the spousal board of approval anyway. Noooo... she has to have a fancy pants carriage style pool house. Well, I got the last laugh... you can see I added my own personal touches!
Happy New Year donP, just trying to simplify life a bit...
