The interior shot makes it look like this sample is an automatic. Look at the shifter boot in the far-right center; it's narrow and long, signature of a typical PRNDL - without autostick/manumatic.

I think this is a converted C6 rather than a built Z06, one that was converted from an automatic. This would explain the added features (power seats, for example) that appear in the pics but might not wander onto the final product.

I think it would be ridiculous to offer the Z06 without the option, at the least, for a radio and some creature comforts. Make it a single option package, and let the buyer decide if they want the stripper or the fully-equipped version. Just don't make any in-betweens.

Kal.

BreaKaoss - I was referring to the current generation Viper Gard posted. The first generation Viper is defintely a different critter entirely. However, if you look at the progression of the cars through the years you can see the trend, but I listed wrong years....I meant the Stingray years ( circa 6.

Rocket - I gotta bust your chops man. The current Viper body is definitely similar to the the Vette. There are some extremely irate Viper guys who hate that Dodge took that distinctive Viper and smoothed everything out. The Vette has had pretty much the same profile since the early 80s. I have no idea why Dodge did it, but they did. As far as the non-flipping headlights on the Vette, yes there are some extremely irate Vette people on that one.

I am not even going to get into the Dodge - Chevy (& Ford) argument. All of these guys had their days in different racing classes in different years. Very rarely did they put their 100% effort into the same arena during the same years.

I'm not sure I follow you. You said
"I think the first thing Dodge needs to do is style the current Viper so it doesn't look so Vette like. Looking at a 63 - 65 Vette, you'd swear that the current Viper is descended from that styling."

Then I think you then tried correcting what model of Vette you meant but it still didn't come out

"I meant the Stingray years ( circa 6."

What years of Vette do you think the current Viper looks like? I thought you were implying the original 1992 Viper styling was copied from a Vette. Anyway, what looks more like a 2003-2005 Viper, a
A. Vette-name your year or
B. Viper RT-10, 1996-2002

My point is, I think the new Vipers look a lot more like the previous generation Vipers than remotely like any year Vette.
Remember, the Gen III Viper (SRT-10) came out in 2003. To say that the 2005 Vette and the 2003 Viper look similar, and then infer Viper styling copied the Vette is bassackwards. I like the new Vipers(SRT-10) but I love the Gen IIs. Hopefully, when the Coupes come out they will lean a little back toward the GTS styling.

BTW, thanks for being polite. If that's you "bustin' my chops" I think my ego can stand it(LOL). I refuse to keep reading posts around here where losers start name calling and flaming each other.(let's see if any losers chime in and say, hey, as****, you talkin' 'bout me"?)

Uncle Gard, Rocket is picking on me.

Sorry, man the emoticon chopped up the 8. I think the new (current style) Vipers look like they could have been descended from the '68 style Vettes (not the previous generation that I listed earlier). I do not think that the original Vipers look like they descended from Vettes.

Personally I like the original Viper styling, but am not a fan of the current Vipers because (a) it looks like a Vette :P and (b) it's lost the muscular look that the original Viper had. Again the C6 Vette has basically looked the same since the early 80's while the current Viper looks much less like the original road going beast that was the originally styled Viper.

Hey I agree with you on the flaming posts. Just a friendly disagreement here. Peace bud.
