Default Is anyone else having SERIOUS troubles logging in?

I've been having a difficult time logging in recently. Actually I've been trying for two days now and this is the first success I've had.

I'm not talking about right after the switchover, I'm talking after that because I was ok after the switch over.

It's all pretty weird. The straight login doesn't work and there's always a password listed in the bottom of the page. I reload the page and all of a sudden I'm logged in.

Very frustrated.......

The ******'s you see on the bottom password are for looks. I'm working on getting rid of them, but they came with this template. Also, I'm working on the login issues. Try going to a non-6mt.net page. Clear ALL of your cookies, close and reopen your browser. This should reset the new cookie for the correct domain. Try that. Also, Let me know if when you click on the forum it redirects you to "6speed.net" THis is the main issue for the login troubles. I'm working with our ISP to get our default URL set back to 6mt.net.

Thanks for the quick reply VQ.

I've never been redirected to "6speed.net," it just keeps prompting me to login.

Really weird.....I see the screen name on the bottom of the forum index page (which should indicate that I'm logged in), but not allowed to post or edit. Once I try to access the post, edit, profile, PM functions I get a prompt to login.

I'll try the cookie thing.

OK, so when you go to 6mt.net, and click on the "forums" link, it does not change to 6speed.net? That's good, but that's also why your cookies and sessions are screwed up.

Ahhh, I always got redirected, so I changed the cookie domain to "6speed.net". Time for more repair work. Thanks for the troubleshooting help gzire.

I'm still having the cookie problem too... in fact, I also noticed that I have been getting logged out throughout the day. I was planning on leaving a logged-in browser window open so I wouldn't have to log in every time, but that didn't seem to work.

I was just having a hard time replying to messages. I clicked on logout (so that I could log back in) numerous times and it wouldn't log me out. I eventually had to go to profile and put in my current password and new password before it let me actually reply to messages.

FWIW - I also noticed that the red envelope 'new post' icon wasn't working properly until I cleared cookies and temp internet files.

Never had a problem logging in but right after the switch I was banned to posting to some threads but that has gone away. I didn't do anything with my cookies. I did however re-add this site to my favotites and got rid of the original link. (Probably nothing to do with it)

Same exact problem I've been having. Using VQ's info I was able to get in for the first time in about a week.

VQ-Please disregard the email I sent to

I had ALOT of trouble logging in... I corresponded with the admins in order to resolve it... they are still working on it. What a hassle!! tried several times to login with the new password (after going through the "forgot password" bit) that they sent me via the link in their email... nothing worked for me.

I gave up and decided to register under a new username... oh wells....
