Default How do I get this to work

I was doing a search for the Escutcheon tread and that didn't seem to work. Then I found the post on another forum and that does not work since we are now switched over. I did a search by poster name and found the thread after scrolling through various topics.

Now I have the thread and want to view the pictures.

The piece can be removed with a screwdriver.

How the hell do I do that now????

Here is the location of the full thread:

I have the piece on order at the dealers. Just would like to see how to do it.

I believe VQ has said he is working on getting all the old pics back up collectively very soon....hopefully before your order arrives. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! But I am concerned if the site changeover affected the search fuctionality of old content. That would be a big bummer.

Yeah I could only get back to the 24 of this month under the topic search. Under a user name search I could go all the way back.

Also does anyone have these pic's they can re-upload them???

(Sorry for the shit-tastic drawing)

UPDATE- I just noticed that my drawing looked much different after the post. Basically, the X is the area between the handle and the escutcheon.

Basically, get a very small flathead screwdriver and fold a cloth or paper towel over the blade. Next, insert the blade (orient the blade vertically - "X "marks the spot) and lean the screwdriver handle (pry) towards the front of the car. This will push bak the tab holding the escutcheon in place.

Once you get your new one, you will have the plastic escutcheon attached to a metal piece right out of the box. Remove your new escutcheon from the metal piece and install on your car. (Hook the tabs to the right side of the keyhole and snap in place)

When you are done, place your old escutcheon on the metal piece that came with the new one, place it back in the box, and then keep it just in case you need it!

Hope this helps! I was unable to put my .bmp up.

Thanks Defstar. From the description I can follow it and sounds real easy. I'm getting mine either tomorrow or Thursday from the dealer. They had to order it. If any one is interested, they told me it would be around $14 plus tax.

hahaha, thanks all, especially VQ for getting the pictures to work.

Defstar, your picture is fine. I could understand it.

Jaylin I knew you had the pictures of your car but wasn't sure if you had the pics for the install.

Part should be here later today or tomorrow.
