Damn Eldy. You find the best videos. I've always thought it would be cool to take a race kart on the streets.

Some of thos shifter karts can hit 100 easily. I bet it feels like 200 when your driving.

Sav's right easily exceed 100 on some of these karts. I was once asked if I wanted to get into that. My obersvations were, no roll cage, no seat belt, uhhh no thanks.

Like bikes you're probably going to get really messed up when someone else does something stupid.

Must be incredibly fun though.

Not as exciting as GR, but still. On their site it says 102MPH top speed, F-125 Shifter 6 speed.

I get scared going 45 on my friend's quad. But just because it was on a bumpy dirt path and you're so high off the ground.

Hey Eldy I was talking to one of these serious karters. I asked if he'd ever been in a wreck.....he's a serious racer so of course he had. The guy in front was on his brakes hard and this guy climbs the front kart. Instant Superman.

The guys advice to avoid a wreck like that? Get a faster kart so you are in front of those guys.

These guys are pretty nutty. Their butts are several inches off the ground, the engines are moved to counter the driver's weight, slicks, kart trailers.....really hardcore guys. Real serious chance to get sanded to death........I'm such a chicken.

I got a friend pretty serious running his kart, slower than shifters though. One weekend, he touched wheels with another guy, flipped over, broke his collar bone. He went back two days later, raced with one hand, and won the race. A month ago or so, he flipped over again in Las Vegas during practice for the national final race. Spend $600 fixing the kart, went back and finished the race on the weekend. It's tough to be Schumacher, isn't it. But I admire them. Me, I'll do the chicken dance with GZire.
