I think the game is pretty cool. There are some things that i like about Halo 2 and some things that i like about Halo 1 better. I havent really had a chance to play the slayer mode on H2 yet so i really cant comment on that.
As far as the campaign part of the game goes...
In Halo 2 the levels are HUGE. A lot more space to run around in and explore, but i find myself spending more time trying to figure out where im supposed to be going (feel like im running around in circles). I feel that the 1st halo marks, or points u in the right direction a lot better than the 2nd. Before playing Halo 2 i heard that u could choose who you wanted to play with (the humans or Covenant), but u actually dont get that choice. They have incorporated both story lines as you play through out the game. Not sure if i really like that, but ah well. There is more of an assortment of weapons in the 2nd halo, well as far as the alien weapons go. So far i have noticed that all the vehicles for you to get in are all the same(i havent gone through the whole game yet so there might be some different ones). But some do have a couple of little things added to them. For example, the Ghosts now have like a "nitrous" boost in them and the jeep for the human's have both a cannon and machine gun. I loved the 1st one and i enjoy the 2nd so if you liked the OG Halo i would recommend the 2nd. There are other difference between the two, but im sure others will point out the things i did not mention. [
