The last time I was downloading music was back in the "free" days of early Napster, etc. My online music pursuits have been minimal for many years.
I have just purchased an MP3 player for my son for Christmas and I was wondering what some of the better download services/sites are. I see some charge just per song, others require a monthly fee plus a per song charge.
Your suggestions are welcome. Here's our general music profile:
80% for my son (12):
Pop (top-40) some classical and alternative.
10% wife:
'Easy listening' and Tagalog/Filipino artists
10% me:
Classic rock, contemporary jazz, other eclectic.
So, would like something without any long-term subscriber committments (or just used to only using 1 service) but with an extensive library if possible.
~missing the days when you could download a song for free and then find out you got almost 87% of it [lol]
I use AresLite. You can get it from www.download.com. Its free and ad-free. I used to use Morpheous/Kazaa/Grokster, but they now have spyware attached.
You should be able to find all the music you want on there too. Ive downloaded a bunch of filipino songs from Ares.
