lol... CK... I kinda know what you mean..but I think people were into it cuz it's a horrific thing...a pregnant woman and a cheating husband...that's just juicy! then all the stuff he did...it didn't help. At first it was just a missing person and it was on the news as an attempt to find her...then the affair broke out and the spotlight was on him ever since. But I'm glad it's over now.
So I'm assuming you do forensic stuff ( your name ) LOL. That's awesome. I personally think it's a cool job. I guess I spend too much time watching those forensic stuff on tv

Probably the Michael Jackson case....isn't he the same lawyer for him as well?? At least I thought he was back in the beginning.
I'm glad the jurors got it right. For a moment there I thought it would have been a hung jury.
Jaylin, those boats don't tip all that easy. We used to use one when fishing in the bays of Florida and to catch fish. Sometimes we would have three people in them fishing, casting, reeling stuff in. They were pretty stable. Also I doubt he lifted her up over his head to toss her in, which would have tipped the boat - higher center of gravity. He could have very easily rolled her over the edge and into the water. His weight would have countered her weight plus the cement block!

CSI is the best show on TV. Except for The O.C. of course.

I hear that. Probably the defense trying to use the media to it's advantage.

No he actually did it to himself. GP is right by first making a big deal about her being missing and putting it on the media. The the media picked it up as what type of sick bastard would kidnap a pregnant woman. It just got worse once the media found out Peterson was a suspect and the all the weird behavior.

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">I think the fact that it started out as a missing person case is what initially launched the publicity...and I can see why it's so juicy to a lot of people (my wife included [banghead]).
Yeah, I used to work in forensics in Florida at two Medical Examiner facilities. They were easily the most enjoyable jobs that I've ever had (and the most rewarding from a non-financial standpoint).
One of the most interesting cases I ever worked on was published as a book called "House of Secrets". The mastermind behind the double murders, incest, rapes, etc, etc, etc was Eddie Lee Sexton.
Damnit CK...now you got me interest and I'm gonna have to go get that book!!!! lol.
And yah AZ I like the real case stories...It's so much more better. BTW I was watching the Jeffrey Damher case the other week...man that is one sick bastard. I was really young when his story was all over the news but now I'm watching it...I was like "OMG...this guy really had issues"..eating people!!!
And Jay...I like CSI...but OC? Hell I live in Cali and I don't even watch it... It's a joke... But since you're from SC...I'll let it go. I won't tease you no more! LOL.
You guys remember that one story about that guy that confessed to killing his gf after watching the Passion of the Christ? The death was ruled out as a suicide... until he confessed to killing her and making it look like a suicide. He said he got all the ideas from watching CSI. He killed her cuz she told him she was pregnant and he didn't want to be stuck with her and the baby. Now that's crazy...
Whoa, he could have gotten away with it. Good thing his guilty conscience wouldn't let him get away with it. What a coward, geez some of these fools don't have accountability and too scared of responsibilities. I'd like to kick their ass.

The O.C. is the new 90210. Come on Princess, where have you been?
You have to wonder about some of those true crime shows. If you watch the shows it doesn't look like there is any chance to plan the perfect murder and get away with it. They have all sorts of things they can do to catch your ass. I wonder if criminals watch this show and then decide not to do it because it looks too easy to get caught these days. I wonder how many watch the shows and think that they can out fox the cops.
Hey CK, is the solve rate a lot higher these days compared to a few years ago?

If I ever wanted to commit the perfect crime, I would shave my entire body and scrub it down with a brillo pad (No hair and no dead skin = NO DNA). Then I would wrap my body in cling wrap and latex so I don't leave any prints.
