He is so far left that maybe the people who only vote for the dems because they feel they should might learn a lesson.
He will raise taxes, he said that. He will probably appoint a Supreme Court judge, Hillary Clinton would be a good choice for him. He will seek to disarm the citizens. He will support the UN and have them help run our country. The list goes on, but I will stop here.
Maybe we will get lucky and he will be re-elected in 4 years, that way the republicans won't have to take the blame in 2008.
I noticed you said "almost" hope...I am afraid that Kerry can do much more damage than good.
Something came to mind today that I hadn't thought much about...he is pushing and saying that for this war we should have had a much stronger coalition, yet in 1991 when we had a kick-ass coalition he still voted against the war. Why the heck aren't people making that an issue?
The Supreme Court is actually one of my largest personal debates regarding these candidates. If Bush is elected, women most likely lose the right to choose. If Kerry is elected I have to worry about losing my guns.
Though Kerry did say in one of the debates that he would not appoint a justice that would reverse any constitutional rights. Bush said that he would not have any such litmus test for his appointees, which lost him points with me.
In another thread I asked the question, who are the 5 most powerful people in the country? The answer is the ruling majority of the Supreme Court.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
I don't like kerry and I wouldn't vote for him but on the other hand that Bush fellow mislead us and put young men and women in danger for reasons other then WMD. I'm not voting for either of these people.
just to add my own comments. clinton wants kerry to win so that he can fulfill the postiton in the UN in 2006. hiliary cliton wants to run for president in 2008 and therefore would rather have bush win. conflicts going on.

I keep hearing that Bush misled the country and sent people to die in Iraq for reasons other than WMD. Can someone please provide some proof that he intentionally misled? Proof that his motivation was for oil, etc.? I'm kind of sick of all the factualization people are putting to what amounts to speculation and conjecture.
I would almost agree with Gardiner that it might teach people a lesson if Kerry gets elected, but at the same time I think our economic recovery is still fragile enough that Kerry's policies (or lack thereof) could easily send it back into recession.

Isn't that what got Bush into trouble in the first place?

There is a difference between speculation and conjecture used hindsight to attack someone politically and having to rely on what was deemed by the entire government, including Congress and Senator Kerry, to be reliable intelligence in order to make a decision affecting the security of our country and the world as a whole.
My problem is that the administration has never accepted responsibility for "screwing up" and attacking Iraq. I have yet to hear one apology. All I hear (see) is finger pointing.
