It'd be considered a "dealer to dealer trade", they do that all the time, and usually it'll be around $1000-2000 net savings depending on the car. But since Infiniti cars drop in value much faster than the 3 series, they'd probably be inclined to accept a dealer trade.
But, the more you talk to them, the more they think the car might sell, and the less of a chance they'll accept the dealer trade. See what the lowest price they'll give you and then tell them you're not interested, 2-3 days later tell my dealer the price, write them a $750 check and he will call the BMW dealership for you. If he can't get the car at your target price, he'll give you the check back right away. Sounds pretty easy eh?
