No really, timing is everything. Don't dwell on it. Here do this...skip one class then the next class you have with her go up to her and ask her if she took the notes from that last class because you missed the class (Now you have to talk to her). She will probably say yeah no problem, then ask her if it is ok to copy them around lunch time and then of course tell her you'll like to buy her lunch for being so kind. Don't take a no here unless her boyfriend shows up (You've already checked to see if she is married or has a boyfriend, right), you can then take her some place for lunch, OFF campus, walk to you car....and the rest is history, you should be talking now.

when I was in college, I had a crush on a classmate but never had the nerve to talk or sit near him. I missed a test and my prof let me take it during the lab, I got stuck on a question and whispered if anyone knew the answer...he surprised me by taking my test paper and giving me his with all the answers! We ended up talking from there- by the time I told him I like him, he already got with someone else! Talk about bad timming! But we're still very close friends.
So hey ask her for lecture notes or something. Keep your words short and simple if you think you're gonna stutter! LOL.
This is what I've realized about school and girls recently. You got 6 years at this place. Many many opportunities to meet girls will come up that won't repeat themselves in the real world. If you screw this up then just wait and something else will come up. In the words of one of my best friends ... don't be nervous and remember that you are the shit. I've noticed most girls are very receptive to a real person ... usually they're burnt out from the outgoing asshole or annoyed by the fact that everyone else won't talk to her for fear of rejection. Just be yourself and have the confidence.
Was your friend a girl that told you that RU...cuz that's true. I've had guys tell me years down the line that they had crushes on me but always thought I was out of their leauge.... but the weird part was I also thought they were cute but didn't think I had a chance so I never said much.
hey man you got nothing to lose. if you dont talk to her...you'll never know. NO ONE is out of your league!!! chicks like it when you have the balls to comeup and start talkin to them. just think of her as a normal girl...dont drool, thats a big turn off. be confident and keep the convo short and smiple first time.

Also ... if it is a thing about being nervous cuz she may 'be out of your league' ... different things turn different girls on. I've seen some nasty, overweight, oily, pimple faced guys with some of the most gorgeous girls and vice versa
Now, after all these years, I know how easy it is, but I STILL remember those feelings - comepletely normal, but heed all the advice and try to be calm and be yourself.
