What is the deal with Grubbs and FA?

So I was just over there browsing around and I saw this post about being a member. As it turns out there is another part of the FA web that I guess they charge like $50 to join it. If you join that part and are a member for the next thirty days then you can get special Vpp pricing on a new 2005. Also I guess Grubbs will have specials that will only be offered in there and only avaiable to paid members.

So is Grubbs just trying to make their deals exclusive to the FA paid member site? You won't be able to call up and give them the discount code unless your a paid memeber?

I'm definately not signing up to be a paid member for discounts. Yes I guess they also offer a news letter and special mailings.
