Did you drive the sube at all? I went and drove the 2.5 GT w/ the 5m last friday. It was suprisingly fast. Throw a chip or a boost controller in there, and im pretty sure you could have a LOT of power, since they claim its the same engine as the WRX STi (detuned). I havent researched this, but this car is suddenly on my short list of cars to consider.
yeah ... the sub was one of 3 cars we used per track ...
3 tracks ... performance (acceleration, hard braking, and some corners), handling (corners), and traction (slalom, sand, and some more turns)
3 cars per track ... performance and handling used BMW 325, Sub Legacy 2.5 GT, and Volvo S60 ... the traction track had the wagon versions of the Bimmer and Sub and the Volvo V70.
All were autos ... understandable for the purpose of the event
The sub was definitely fun to drive ... wish I could have tried a manual
Yeah, I kept asking people if I could drive my car on there, but there were too many liability issues. The adjacent parking lot was big enough to get up to ~70 mph before jamming on the brakes. I've got some more pics of us racing too, but we're a little farther away. In hindsight, I should have let Ru's buddy take pics and/or video with my camera from Ru's passenger seat...oh well.
Well, in Ru's defense, I've had a little more practice since I bought mine after it had already been broken in and didn't have to wait to put the hammer down. I'm just glad that I didn't have to race ggirl with all of her mods!

Yeah but you must weigh like five 'Ru's so he had a weight advantage. []
