Try the new airline, Independence Air, I have heard nothing but compliments about their service. Plus, they have cheap one-way tickets, from $39 - $99.
It looks like Independence air doesn't fly into Philly. Usually US Air is the cheapest into Philly. If you're renting a car you may want to consider flying into Newark, Atlantic City, or Allentown since they are all within around an hour from Philly.
Lol, ck, you may be right about Frances. My son has a travel hockey tournament in outside Philly that weekend. Team has chartered a bus and are leaving early Fri. for the 1st game at @ 2pm, but he's starting as a freshman at a new private H.S. that Mon., so he's not able to blow Fri off. We were thinking about flying down after school Fri and taking the bus back. That bus ride's not real appealing to me, but it's a brand-nwe super plush custom with full length recliners, and there are several other fathers, coolers and a pisser so it could be worse. Playing things by ear now.

Mmmm... I can think of what my bus ride experience would be...
Me: "son, how did we get home"
son: "on the bus, dad"
me: "what bus?"
son: "the bus with all the beer and the big cushy recliners"
me: "did we watch college football?"
son: "no, but we watched lots of movies, and you drank alot"
me: "did I have fun?"
son: "I guess so..."
We said alot. Anyhow, this is why I dont have a son... yet.
Thanks for the invite, but I've got to work on some demolition work on my kitchen walls. I'll have a totally new kitchen by the end of the month (can't wait)!! Also, it's been raining for a while in the Scranton, PA already, which is near where I81 and 476 (NE Extension of the PA turnpike) meet. I assume you'll be taking that route...
Yeah, sounds about right. You might hit some pretty heavy traffic around Syracuse or Binghamton. Scranton shouldn't be too bad since you'll be taking the turnpike (476) around it. Have a great time and a safe trip!
