Forget that IE crap. Use Mozilla Firefox.

Way to not answer his question.

reem,

Does it only do this with video or does it do so with any files? Additionally, is it downloading to a specific location or is it just downloading to temp and immediately starting to play?

dunno if this will work but I guess you could try

Click tools then Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab then hit the restore defaults.

That IS the default action. I'm guessing you updated WMP and it finally had the proper video extensions associated with it, so now IE knows how to open the files. If you want to save the target, right click on the link to the video, go to "save target as" and choose a location. Alternatively, you could remove WMP's file type association and that might do it.
