The new trailer for Matrix Reloaded is awesome. I was excited about this movie before but now I'm even more psyched. You HAVE to watch it if you havn't yet.
Now the reason I say fast with broadband only, is cause this trailer is 100MB, 1000x540 resolution, progressive scan, 24 frames per second, "straight off the editing Avid," and "far surpasses DVD quality"
For anyone that cares and even those who do not the dates are as follows:
<ul>[*]May 5 - Matrix soundtrack (2-disc)[*]May 15 - The Matrix Reloaded Release[*]May 15 - Enter The Matrix (video game)[*]June 5 - The Animatrix (9 anime shorts)[*]November 5 - The Matrix Revolutions Release[/list]
Patiently -- or not so patiently waiting to trade in my 1996 I30 for a wonderful G35 SC!
The trailer is indeed spectacular. I was just a bit disappointed in the scene where Neo fights a crap load of agents. I read a bit on the tech involved and they were previously claiming to have perfected digital actors. They use cameras in every direction to film an actors movement and then digitize it. They then use this information to make a fully manipulable avatar they can place in whatever act they desire, with resolution down to facial hair movement in the wind. Having suffered through the really bad CGI movements in Blade II, Daredevil, Spiderman, etc, I was looking forward to seeing the results. Their movements are indeed significantly improved, but the textures were way off and didn't look real at all. Of course, I was looking for it as well...
And just to nitpick because I don't feel like working:

While this definitely requires Broadband unless you wish to set it to download and come back a few days later, there's nothing exceptional about the video that requires anything advanced.
All computer monitors and usually the information displayed on them are progressive. Progressive just means each frame of video is a full image whereas interlaced alternates between refreshing lines of video.
Most computers can render a 3D video game at speeds above 60fps, making 24fps a little trivial. And DVD video quality isn't all that spectacular at 480 lines of vertical resolution but our typical NTSC TV tech blows so much more that you don't notice.
lol.....im just stating what they say on the site. they say to use a computer of at least one gigahertz etc etc blah blah blah, im that excited too =) first showing hopefully (dont know why, just want to)

thanks for the link. I'm downloading now... can't wait to see it! I'm also looking forward to the DVD release of Animatrix. Like Semi, my bladder is going out of control -- but I am bracing myself for being disappointed. The first movie was so good it's going to be extremely hard to live up to. Sequals are rarely better than the originals IMHO.
lol, i dont know much about her, where else would i know her from? apparently she is the "queen of the world" in the matrix....i read that somewhere...
