Stru, I'm not sure if they're still doing the 1st year free or not. I'm sure you can find out or get a deal on Xbox.com. Anyone know? I do know you can play it without a connection as well though.
The thing I really like about this game is that it's like Gran Turismo with more tracks, better graphics and actual car damage. You can make the car flip end over end and you'll see spoilers flying off as well as othe parts. I've had to try and finish a race without a wheel before. Also, if you slam into something hard, your windows will shatter. Very cool physics!
I have this one the Logitech wireless, but they have a newer version coming out soon. Kloh said their latest wheel is great too, but I think it might be PS2 Only. Not sure.
RS2 is a great game....I've been addicted to it for about 2 weeks now. I presonally don't think its the best physics I've seen and the controls are a little bit more arcade-like that some other console rally games, but overall it's a riot. Get me in a WRX S22B in a hill climb, I'm in heaven =)
