Noooooooooooooooooo
That's exactly what happened to me, even in the same spot. Touch-up paint will make it invisible to anyone further than a foot or so.

I dunno Stu, there are deep gouges not just scratches. The only good news is that all damage is to the bumper cover, thankfully no metal work. Unfortunately, no lot cameras, only door cameras. Believe me, I already checked. No helpful witnesses either. S.O.L.
I am beginning to think this car is a magnet. I parallel park right in front of my office window and in the past 6 months have watched it get hit twice in the front and twice in the back by idiots who just plain can't park. And, in EVERY instance, they took off! I got all their plates, had them tracked down by the police and collected to fix the damages.
But really, wtf is up with the lack of personal responsibility and morals these days? Those asswipes ranged from 17 to 86 years old! Does anyone remember THE GOLDEN RULE?

Hey Stru - how bout a "My Kid's on the Honor Roll" or school mascot bumper sticker? Or, maybe that ghetto look that seems so hot out in the rich white suburbs?? You know, the fake bullet holes to cover all the scratches kind of thing? How bout those BandAid stickers or a LipKiss? Ah, screw it, I think I got some gray primer in a spray can somewhere...

I used some touch-up paint on my car that someone hit on the front bumper. There were some decently deep gouges (you can see the black under the paint) but the touch-up paint does well. You just have to apply several thin layers and then sand it down to the OEM paint level.
If you get lumps, acetone the touch-up paint off and reapply. Get a very fine hobby paintbrush or use a toothpick and not the brush in the touch-up paint bottle (it's too big).
THAT SUCKS DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah man that sucks dholly! I try to NEVER park where people have to parallel park their cars in front or behind mine cause of this reason. I agree with you, people have no respect and morals for cars anymore. I use to see sorority girls in Austin parallel park their big ass Yukons and Tahoes and play freakin bumper cars with the car behind and in front of them. Nothing pisses me off more than that type of sh*t happening!
hey Hot Foot - was it you that was thinking about trying that Langka touch-up paint process? Did you (or anybody) ever give that stuff a try? I had seen some very good reviews...
Chaz - I generally park directly outside my office windows less than 30ft away. There are only 4 parallel parking spots right in front of my office building, the main parking is large lots in the rear. There are three units in the front of the building and us unit owners generally get into the front spots first, along with one of our employees. So normally we have the front all sewn up but, every now and again if someone heads out for lunch or an appointment, one of those front spots can open up.
Still, I *shudder* at the thought of parking in the rear every day out-of-sight. Pretty narrow parking lines and my door ding strips don't look like they would do much. At least in front I can see and hear if somebody hits it. So, it's the lessor of two evils I guess.
Anyways, the HD job WAS out in left field. Makes you wonder whether some dink got his rocks off by deliberatly hitting a nice car on purpose after the owner took time and care to park away from the regular spot jockeys.
Btw, j/k about the bumper stickers! []
