Heh, you're right, our policy of invading nations based on false pretense is pretty similar to Germany's invasions during the first half of this century!

Not sure about the French flag, though, they haven't engaged in that type of imperialism in ages.

That's a nice photoshop job. Too bad they couldn't actually wear them.

It could be viewed in the opposite manner, Stru. Suggesting that we are doing the work that they should be doing...

I think Ryan is correct in the intention of the creator however, Stru your observations make interesting food for thought.

What did everyone think of the caskets photograph on CNN last week?

Yeah, I got the intended meaning, but I wanted everyone to think about the opposite.

I also submit that nobody "should be doing" what we're doing right now. It's just about the scariest piece of foreign policy in my lifetime.

I love the way the government doesn't want you to see them. They claim that they are protecting the families of the slain servicemen. What a load of horse sh[censored].

Nobody can tell who is in the caskets. The are all non-descript. If anything it makes me thankful that we have people who are willing to fight and die for our country, no matter whether we should be there or not.

I have plenty of respect for our soldiers; they don't make the policies. But I think it is grossly inappropriate to send them into situations like this. I can't believe W sent our soldiers into harm's way and then told the enemy to "bring it on"!
Anyway, props to the soldiers, they're doing their job. But they're not protecting me or defending America. They're on a wild goose chase to eliminate "terror" (as if that's even possible) and win votes.

I agree with you 100%. When did all the terrorists relocate to Iraq? George W. has had a hardon for getting Saddam ever since his father didn't finish the job the first time we were there.

Saddam needed to get his ass kicked. It was inevitable. For the past decade he had been breaking the sanctions placed on him after the Gulf War, our planes enforcing the so-called "no fly zones" were being shot at weekly and he routinely sent his aircraft across the no-fly-zones to test our reactions. He was taunting us and the world, and the UN couldn't have cared less. They were letting him get away with it. In my oppinion he would have continued to get more brazen if we kept letting him get away with it. I'm well aware of these facts, I've been deploying to the region for the past 5 years. What was done, needed to be done.

I do agree however that enough is enough. Help those who want to be helped and leave the rest to fend for themselves. Eliminating "terror" is like trying to cure the common cold. What would really help the country is bringing the troops back home and securing and dealing with our border problems.
