Default what a red neck

Hey all,
I recieved this email from a red neck member..

From: "hBK" <hbkgs316@optonline.net>
Subject: From 6mt.net

[}]Wow just read your posts about the 03 cobras. I cant believe people who dont know shit about cars like you are allowed to drive. American cars are for muscle, German cars for refinement, and Japanese cars for people who want a half assed piece of shit combination of both. [rage] Mustangs are a stupid car because they are Fords[banghead]? The Mustang name is an icon in the US. It has been around before your stupid ass was born or than any garbage car you can name. When you can acually afford an 03 Cobra[thumbdn], Saleen, Ford GT, etc then say a stupid comment like that. The 03 cobra cant handle because it's a Mustang? Know what you are talking about before you open your mouth and say things your entry level retarded IQ self is thinking. Cobras have IRS and handle well[thmsdn]. You can make any car handle well anyway. The quality of the internals in the 03 cobra are amazing[timebomb]. The engine is rated at 390hp but dynos at 420hp. It can handle a shitload of power with a stock block and make a shitload of power with a small amount of money. There is a reason for the price tag on an 03 cobra. The sound of a V8 is unmatched. Look at the AC Cobra. A fucking 11 sec car, costs more than a ferrari and handles like one. So shut your retarded ass up and know what you are talking about before more stupid shit comes out of your mouth.

I wouldn't worry much about it. Obviously his intelligence on the matter far exceeds that of everyone else in the world.

This guy is on to something here. We could take a lot of women drivers off the road if he were in charge.

True, but Mustangs are known for handling like ASS in stock form, and this guy got his panties in a bunch over someone else's opinion. I'm not too sure that I would want somebody that could snap that easily in charge.

As much as a mustang has the potential, much of what the mustang is currently built on is old technology and does not exploit the inexpensive, more efficient, and refined methods that make driving dynamics so easy to tune. For example a regular mustang or mustang GT still uses a rear beam axle to transfer power and hug the corners, yet is has been proven (inexpensively) that the rear independent double wishbone style suspension is far more capable of transferring power and handling.

The driving position in the mustang is grossly inefficient for optimal driver comfort and visibility. The shifter is like a wet dish towel and uses an awkward "S" bend to place it in the driver's reach. The seats themselves could give a chiropractor a heart attack and the overall construction of the vehicle is sub-par for Kia's standards.

Much of this came as a surprise to me when I first drove the coveted Pony car, considering that modern technology allows automakers to develop parts to react specifically with different road conditions and different chassis design. Take for example a jewel of a sports car, the Honda S2000. 120hp/liter N/A this vehicle combines the rigidity of a coupe and the joy of a go-Kart. Created specifically to honor the Honda Racing pedigree and produced in such a way that they were able to undercut all of the competition in price, performance and overall package. The car still wins praise for its technologically advanced engine and its joy to drive.

I down right hated my experience in the 2001 Mustang GT 5-speed. The passion that supposedly surrounds this American icon could not awaken an insomniac.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but I have come to expect very little from any mass-produced American car.

That having been said, Ford is not a bad company, they have some of the most imaginative and innovative people around. They have created what others could only dream. But they have not been able to salvage the image that they so boldly held only 25years ago. Their production models lack the inspiration that they were conceived with and they continue to falter in their attempts to compete with the Japanese and German car companies.

And that is my opinion to an ignorant car person.

Milty, very well said, with the exception of your typo on the S2000 HP stat. I wonder who this member is? He doesn't seem to be speaking up.

how is my HP stat incorrect. The S2000 comes with 240hp , which divided by the liters (2.0) is 120hp per liter. (I use it as a lowest common denominator).

Comparitively the 4.6liter SHOC V8 Mustang is rated at 260hp.

260/4.6 = 56.5hp/liter

or, if we feel like going with the possibility of Ford underrating the engine the equation looks like this.

320/4.6 = 69.5hp/liter

That was more for fun than anything else. That F20K sure is an impressive engine...go Honda

P.S.
The VQ35DE in the 350Z has 287hp, here are the numbers.

287/3.5 = 82hp/liter

JUDGE FOR YOURSELVES

You may be thinking of the new s2k's which have been upped to 2.2 ltrs displacement for midrange power purposes, but Milty is right.. up through 2003, they were 2 ltrs, 240 hp, and are a blast to drive.. just wish there was more shoulder and head room[banghead]

I am aware of the engine change, but my reading was just a little off. I didn't see the "/liter." I guess I scanned the message too quickly. Oops...

If I could afford to, I would buy a used S2k for a summer car... not that my G is a great winter car, but it is better than an S2k I am sure.
