Punching their fists into the air and shouting "Let's crush them!" some 100,000 North Koreans packed Pyongyang's main square Thursday for an anti-U.S. rally as the communist regime promised a "fire shower of nuclear retaliation" for any American-led attack.
Several demonstrators held up a placard depicting a pair of hands smashing a missile with "U.S." written on it, according to footage taken by APTN in Pyongyang on the anniversary of the day North Korean troops charged southward, sparking the three-year Korean War in 1950.
This happened today, we need to make N Korea "our bitch."
Since I personally think the security of our country is a deadly serious matter that deserves more than collective finger crossing and hope by our leaders, I'll offer my own $0.02...

While I certainly hope you are correct, you have no more assurance Kim or any other nutjob with the capability won't take a potshot at the U.S. The are many crazies in this world who would push the button with delight if given the opportunity and you are no more able to predict it than when commercial airliners were flown into the World Trade Towers. Hope is not an effective defense, and our President and Congress are charged with first and foremost protecting the American population. Every single citizen has the right to question the wisdom of taking $1bil from missile defense for the long-term safety of the country to fund a one-time 'Cash For Clunkers' handout program that benefits car dealers and transfers even more financial risk to consumers. Does anyone really care to argue which is in the best interest of our nation?
China needs to step up and become a better ally in cracking down on North Korea and Afghanistan. They want to be big time players in a global economy, then they better assist us when someone is waving a nuclear gun around.
China has worked together to safeguard peace and stability of the Asia-Pacific region and the world through bilateral and multilateral contacts. The problem is nutjobs don't listen to them either or, for that matter, care to answer to anyone. Personally, I have no desire to pin U.S. reliance for a last line of defense on China or any other nation, do you?
And I have no doubt that the U.S. government will counter any nuclear attacks efficiently and expeditiously. But who the fvck wants nuclear war? The mere idea of starting that is heinous.
The only thing worse than starting a nuclear war is having to finish one. The point as I see it is, when all diplomacy and hope fails if you can't predict or prevent the launch of missiles, it is a whole lot better in terms of lives lost and dollars spent to have the capability to take those missiles out in the boost phase with the cooperation of European allies (AND have a second chance with U.S. based interceptors) than simply let them rain down on American cities and then retaliate in kind. Is that what you really want?
Reneging on overseas installation of boost phase interceptors is bad enough, but eliminating missile defense shield protections already in place on U.S. soil due to budget constraints caused by adding discretionary wish-list social programs and hand/bailouts to garner votes at the expense of every citizen is downright insane, and unacceptable in my eyes. That this administration and congress are willing to gamble in such a way with the lives of all American citizens is very telling.

I'm going to guess one of those bad boys on the open market would fetch a real pretty penny. NK probably wouldn't mind selling a few of them off to help pay for their nuke program...sounds like a good business plan.
Can anyone think of someone with a little extra loose change that might strike a deal with NK for one? or more?
point is even without a missile capable of delivering it to the US, the nut job is still a threat to us
