Does anyone have a nice digital camera they're interested in selling? Or know where I can pick up one up sub-$200. Definitely not looking for amazing quality, good web quality is all I need.

I just did a search on eBay and found a couple Canon Powershot S100's in your price range. The picture quality isn't bad at all for a 2.1MP camera. That should be plenty for you as 1600x1200 would be way more than any web photo I imagine you'll want to put up. The best part, though, is that it's small enough to fit in your pocket which is ideal for snapping shots in the field.
Anyone know a lot about dig cameras? I'm thinking about getting one mid this month. Looking at the monolta dimage xi. Very nice but expensive. Are they pretty good quality? Thanks for any response.

As far as digital cameras go, I'd have to recommend Canon. For those who want less expensive ones, try the PowerShot S230... and for those who don't mind spending more than $500, a used PowerShot G1 or G2 or a new PowerShot G3 are all excellent choices. Canon's picture quality is superior to other manufacturers IMHO.

impatiently waiting for my Diamond Graphite...
Do you own one of these cameras Ken? I'd actually love to find something very compact, for personal use, but also very high res for professional use. Casio has a nice one out (very tiny), I forget the model, but I've never been a Casio fan. I've heard good things about Cannon's models too.

I have a PowerShot G1 which has served me well. The only problem is, it's not that compact. The S230 is VERY small and takes excellent pictures for it's size. I believe the S230 is a 3.1 or 3.3 megapixel camera so it's comparable in terms of resolution to the G1. It just lacks some of the more advanced features like aperature control, hot shoe for external flash, more speeds, and better light handling. I tried an S230 at the Apple Store and liked it very much. It's the camera I'd probably buy if I didn't already have my G1 -- mainly for it's size. But if it's features want, you'd probably be better off going for a G1, G2 or G3. They're bigger, but not as big as an SLR.
Hope this helps.

You might want to check the battery life on the Dimage, I think they are battery hogs.
