I think when people say he was from Seattle, they're more referring to his fame and importance. We consider Stevie Ray Vaughn to be "from" Austin, but he wasn't born here. He moved here, did all his important work, and became famous. I may be wrong, but I thought KC was the same way?

Yes, a bit of his short-lived career was indeed in Seattle. He began as a visual artist and poet in Aberdeen (where he more than likely did and found inspiration for most of his work). Later on he picked up a guitar and formed Nirvana. I really didn't mean to make a fuss about it, just wanted to inform, that way the poor Seattle people wouldn't be mocked for Cobain's actions.

Mocked, we loved him around here. We are the great city that formed all of the "Grunge" crap in the early 90's. I can't believe how many bands appeared suddenly back then. Damn, I'm 26 and right in the prime of the Nirvana days. Shit, I think one of their CD's are in my 6MT right now as we speak. Can't ever get tired of Nevermind.

Aberdeen. Yeah its a shitty little town. Actually they just had a hell of a basketball player just graduate from there. I think he is signing with UCLA but that is the last big thing from Aberdeen I have heard of. It really nice over there in the summer though. Great area!!
