I'm calling BS.

We aren't talking a rogue bear or two, but 30+. IMHO it's unlikely you would come across a rogue bear that hunts humans, these guys are talking 30+. More likely the scientists are camped at a prime feeding location and the bears stay there to wait for the fish run.

^^^ IDK, maybe we just look like big "land-salmon" to them; rip the outer skin off (clothes) and were just all pink and tender on the insides...less bones too!
