Took off for a week, went to Biloxi, MS and did a little gambling. Drove to Breaux Bridge, LA and ate some good Cajun food. Drove to Port Neches, TX and visited family. Drove to Natchitoches, LA and watched New Years eve fireworks. Then to West Monroe,LA to visit family. From there home to Atlanta with a stop in Vicksburg, MS to do a little more gambling.
All said and done, almost 1,700 miles in five days of driving. About 23 mpg, not good, but not too bad.
I just got back from a little road trip myself. My new girlfriend, and I went down to San Antonio (from dallas). It's about 250 miles from here. I got all the way down there, and a part way back on one tank (almost 400 miles). I forgot to notice how many gallons I put in, but I'm sure I was getting somewhere around 22 or 23 mgp. That really surprised me, because I was cruising at about 80 most of the way. One thing that I really liked about the drive was the fact that my butt didn't start hurting after 3 hours in the car.
Oh yeah, the trip was great. San Antonio can be a very romantic city.
