I can see it. While Rodman wasn't very good offensively he could arguably be called the greatest rebounder the NBA has ever seen (he's not the best basketball player though, that's obvious).

he said that he's the only person he's ever seen that could play all 48 minutes of a basketball game and actually play the 48th minute just as hard, if not harder than the first.
i find it hard to place Rodman on top of Jordan.. but Rodman was a sick, sick man.

Oh there's no doubt Jordan is the better basketball player, but I wouldn't necessarily kick Rodman to the curb as the best athlete. He would dominate the glass against bigger men and do it for the entire game. It was crazy to see the number of boards he'd get during a game, you'd think he'd get worn down during the course of the game/season, but it sure didn't seem that way.

Greatest? Wilt Chamberlain got 55 rebounds in a single game and Bill Russell got 51 in a single game. Go down the list in most rebounds per game and it's either Wilt the Stilt or Bill Russell.
Rodman the greatest rebounder? Maybe in my lifetime.

True. He had an entire willingness to give 120% and sacrifice his body if need be. He was always ON, all the time, and he was clutch too.
Best Athlete? Debatable, but I could see his point.
thats cool but offense is A LOT more important than rebounding...

It's a different game now then back in the day Gamma. There is no question that today there is a much better pool of skilled talent. As good as those two were, it is arguable they would not dominate in today's league like they did back then.
Anyhow.............again the question is not who is the better basketball player it's the better athlete.
