The Maxima looks good! They always take a while to grown on you. Over the last 18 years that car has probably had the best design consistently of any of the best selling sedans (Camry/Accord/Maxima). There are none that I could say were straight ugly but I don't think I liked any of them at first look. The 1995-99 model comes to mind.. I HATED that car when it first came out, but mostly because I thought the 1989-94 was the best design since sliced bread at the time. I didn't like the 2000 redesign, or the 2004. But those are all cars I would drive even today. Give it some time.. Black/Black!

i would say the 2004 was the only one i didnt like but it eventually, years later, grew on me. i loved the 95-99 and 00-03 design.
i always liked the early 90's one. with the white face gauges (back then that was SICK!), marketed as the 4 door sports car. i see they are trying that with this new one, but i dont think it quite pulls it off. i hated the mid 90's one back then, but now i think it looks somewhat classy. early 2000's... EHH looked OK. the refresh with the projectors and new tail lights caught my eye for a few months. the 04's had a weird grill that always stuck out to me. overall, the maxima is just barely 'decent' to me. not something id buy, but i can see why it's overall pretty successful.
